Tom Classen

Tom Classen

Owner & Lead Builder

Tom Classen comes from a family of builders spanning several generations. He served his apprenticeship working for his father's home building business before becoming a superintendent on a major commercial project in Austin at just 21 years old.

After running his own successful construction company in Dallas, Tom spent 14 years as VP of Development at Desert Mountain Properties in Scottsdale, Arizona—a highly acclaimed 8,000+ acre private golf course community. There, he oversaw the construction of world-class clubhouses and over 60 multi-million dollar homes.

Returning to Texas, Tom managed construction and development at Horseshoe Bay Resort and Summit Rock before purchasing Westway Custom Builders in 2013, bringing his decades of high-end luxury experience to the Highland Lakes area.

Co-Owner & Operations

As Co-Owner of Westway Custom Builders, Cindy Classen is the operational backbone of the company. Working alongside Tom, she ensures that the meticulous standards set on the job site are matched by exceptional client service and project management behind the scenes.

Cindy's keen eye for detail and organizational expertise keep complex custom builds running smoothly, on time, and on budget. She acts as a vital liaison between clients, vendors, and the construction team, ensuring clear communication throughout the entire building process.

Head Project Manager

As Head Project Manager, Michael Crause brings extensive construction management experience to the Westway team. He is the boots-on-the-ground leader ensuring that every architectural detail is executed to perfection.

Michael oversees the daily operations of our job sites, coordinating with our trusted network of subcontractors and artisans. His proactive approach to problem-solving and strict adherence to timelines ensures that our luxury builds progress efficiently without ever compromising on quality.
